Make sure that it plays VCDs too... if you have broadband you can download tv shows and movies off of limewire and drumbeat... then burn them to VCD and watch them on TV. I am purchasing an EyeTV so that I can burn VCDs of TV shows and send them to my cousin on the USS Theadore Roosevelt... he can watch them on a portable DVD player.
