Marta,

In addition to putting into a spreadsheet, you can alphabetize right in
the WP Word Processing) document:

Started as:

Places
Horses
There
Able
Were
Once
People

To alphabetize a WP list:
Highlight the list Go to Edit in Menu bar >Sort Selected Paragraphs>
(down near bottom, just before Writing Tools

Ended as:

Able
Horses
Once
People
Places
There
Were

Note your options are Ascending, Descending and Random.

Also can Sort leading numbers by numeric value or Ignore leading spaces.

This is especially handy when you want to alphabetize a list in a
letter you are writing. No need to go to SS (Spread Sheet) and then
back to WP.
