I'd treat those rumors with extreme skepticism, Jerry. The floppy isn't a scsi or an ATA drive ... it's a whole different sort of system. Now, it's true that there was a hard drive made from about 1984 to maybe 1986 which was designed to use the external floppy port, but that was before Macs had scsi ports.
