For the past month or so my internet browsers (IE 5.2.2 and Safari) have refused to maintain my chosen home page, defaulting after a restart to either www.apple.com (IE) or home.netscape.com/apple.adp (Safari).
I am using OS X 10.2.3 on a PB G4. Here's what happens: I open IE 5.2.2, go to Preferences, set my home page to www.google.com. Open Safari, do same. Open Internet panel in System Preferences, click on Web tab, do same. Quit IE, Quit Safari. Launch IE, home page is Google. Launch Safari, homepage is Google. Shut down and restart (or log out and log back in): Launch IE, home page is www.apple.com. Launch Safari, home page is home.netscape.com/apple.adp. Open Internet panel in System Preferences, click on Web tab, home page is set to http://livepage.apple.com. What's going on?
