If you are running Office v.X for OS X, it comes with a program called
Entourage. Entourage is sort-of half-way between Outlook Express and
Outlook. It has a comparable email application, but also includes a
calendar and address book for a full Personal Information Manager, or
PIM. Your Outlook Express files should be easily importable into
Entourage.

If you are not using Office v.X on your OS X system, then you will
most likely use the Mail application included with OS X. I use that
almost exclusively on my OS X laptop and about 50-50 on my OS X
desktop. (Our company uses QuickMail Pro for corporate emails, so I use
both programs at the office.) I have not tried importing from Outlook
to Mail, so someone else will need to address that. Anyone? Anyone?
Bueller? Bueller?

As to the Macintosh Specialist, I've been working professionally with
Macs since 1997. Currently, I am working for a large organ procurement
organization and tissue bank in Virginia, which happens to be
predominantly Mac based. My assistant and I support about 275 Mac
workstations, 20 or so Mac servers, one Red Hat Linux server and the
network on which they run. Officially, I'm a Tech II, but the title was
originally Macintosh Specialist, so that's what I've kept... I just
liked the sound of it more. :-)

In addition, we have tech supporting about 40-50 Windows systems, a
small help desk staff, a secretary, a network manager, a telecom
manager and a half dozen programmers or so working in a combination of
MSSQL, Oracle and FileMaker Pro.
