Yup, just got it about 1 hr ago. and sitting next to my 12" iBook, it looks to small and sleek. it is most surely lighter than the iBook, the display is brighter (and i like the smaller "frame" around the screen on the PB as well). over all, while i know that the iBook is a more "rugged" notebook, the PowerBook just feels more sturdy.
the keyboard is AMAZING! i think that i will actually like typing notes in class on this thing. just a few notes about the reburb: as i got this ~ $400 less than than a new one, and even ~ $200 less than with my student discount, this is a good deal. the machine looks brand new. the only way that i could tell that it was not, was the brown box it came in, and a small scratch on the lock for the battery on the bottom of the machine, and i had to really look for that. once again, thank you to everyone who gave some input to my request for info. rick On Jan 12, 2006, at 7:44 PM, Jerry Freeman wrote: > ibook 5.9, Powerbook 4.9.
