Of tangential relevance:
I have tried to use several NetGear wireless routers off one cable
connection, putting one in each corner of the house and broadcasting
on different channels.
One router manual says this can be done, but does not say how. One
says it cannot.
Cable modem -> router A in-port
router A ethernet out-port -> computer
router A ethernet out-port -> router B out-port (not in-port
as you would expect)
router A ethernet out-port -> router C out-port(not in-port
as you would expect)
This has worked with one computer hard wired and two more using the
wireless signals, but not with three wireless. Had to bump the
anonymous neighbor off by unplugging the router, then being first to
get back on.
