Okay, so I've got the 12" PowerBook on my desk, and it's hooked up to
my old 15" Gateway LCD.
But the problem that I'm running into is this: the display on the PB
is nice and crisp, the external display though, is a 15" with the
same resolution, so the images are a bit more "fuzzy", etc.

when screen spanning, and moving windows from the PB side to the
other, they of course appear huge.

So, what I'm looking to do is replace the Gateway LCD with something
that would provide for a better overall experience.
Of course I would love to have a 20 or 23" apple display, or a Dell
2005FWP, but the budget will not allow it at this point.

Does anyone have a suggestion for a good, cheap LCD display. i'd like
to go with a 17" or larger to compliment my 12" PowerBook.
I'm not really to keen on the whole technical side of monitors and
what resolution matches up to what, so any help would be appreciated.
What I do know is that larger screens at the same resolution make the
images larger and fuzzier, right?

any help?
