I use skype occationally. I actually have a skype phone number so that people can call my computer. I set this up so that my girlfriend and I could save some cell phone minutes while i lived in Louisville and she lived in Lexington.
The sound quality isn't perfect, but for the price it's great. I have a Mac Mini so i opted for a plantronics m2500 bluetooth head set. My girlfriend liked it so much that I had to get a bluetooth adapter for her windows XP laptop so she could get one too. as far as vid cams go, I haven't tried any yet.... I haven't bought an iSight for myself just yet ;-) if you want to test your skype, my username is nsizemore3 and my skype phone number is 270.984.8733. Then you can see what the quality is like.
