I've just recently received the Radtech Screensavrz (http:// www.radtech.us/Products/NotebookScreensavrz.aspx) that I ordered, and I thought that I would write a quick review, in case anyone was interested in this product.
What it is: a piece of cloth designed to protect your laptop LCD from damage from the keyboard and oils from your fingers etc. It is also used to clean LCD screens. impressions: I bought the 12" powerbook version, and it fits just right, covering the keyboard, so that I worry less about the screen getting squashed onto the keys. It comes in 4 different colors and sizes to fit any mac laptop. There are a few logos available for them as well. It is really nice for quickly wiping off the dust and such that seems to migrate to your screen. But, where it really shines is in cleaning LCD screens. You just dampen part of the cloth, and use it to clean off the screen in long fluid motions, then use the dry side to buff the screen. It made my year old iBook screen look new again, but it really restored the luster to the 5-6 year old gateway LCD that I have, removing small scuffs and scratches, and cleaning all the accumulated junk off the screen. It looks new again. Now, I'm sure that there are other materials or things that would work just the same, but I was really impressed with this product. r | The next meeting of the Louisville Computer Society will | be January 24 at Pitt Academy, 6010 Preston Highway. | The LCS Web page is <http://www.kymac.org>. | List posting address: <mailto:macgroup at erdos.math.louisville.edu> | List Web page: <http://erdos.math.louisville.edu/macgroup>
