I have a linksys wireless router. Yesterday the wireless signal
disappeared. I turned my airport card off and back on and the signal
returned though it is not a strong signal - only one or two of the arced
lines appear in the airport indicator in the menu bar, instead of all
four, which was the case up till last evening.

If I move the computer around the room the signal increases to three
arced lines, but I never get a maximum strength signal.

The router sits atop the DSL box and the wired connections seem to be
just fine.

Can the router be going bad? The airport card?

Thanks for your help.

Harry

ps,

when I tried to send this message via my airport connection BellSouth
refused it and gave me this message:

Recipient
"macgroup at erdos.math.louisville.edu" refused on "mail.bellsouth.net"
relaying mail to erdos.math.louisville.edu is not allowed

So I tried to send it to Lee and received a similar message. Next I sent
myself an email to my .Mac account and received a similar message again.
Then I turned off my airport card and connected to a port on my router
and sent a message to myself and it works just fine.

Any clues?
