insists on running on Classic, if Classic is running.
often gets lost, requiring a re-boot, or replacing one file or another.
I copied all the files that relate to it,
and saved them where they would not be used or changed.
When the computer cannot find the scanner,
I try replacing the current files with the saved copies.
Sometimes it works.
Also, the scanner has 4 programmable physical buttons on the front.
Pushing one sometimes works.
The Canon support web-site was very responsive.
I'm glad they are.
