I have the Netgear wgr614 now. Its pretty good and by now you should be able to find it pretty cheap with a rebate.

Tried channels 5, 1, 3, 2, and 7 in that order. Most changes did nothing. The change to channel 7 kept the good signal for about 10 minutes. When I checked about an hour later, the signal was weak, again. Today (Sunday) the signal is weak, again. My wife seems to think that the poor strength started after the bad storm night (though I'm not as sure). In case it makes a difference, (as I'd said before) I have my router hooked up to a UPS which ran out of battery power after the lights went out. I'm guessing that the router has gone bad, though I can't imagine how. Any suggestions for a new brand? I've been pleased with the Netgear router overall, though I suppose that they're all roughly equivalent.
