I use AppleWorks, and after failing with Lee's suggestion, I just clicked on the draw tool and drew short lines where needed. But if I can get the character palate to work in AppleWorks I may go back and redo them.

I couldn't get the extended keyboard method suggested by Lee to work. ?, ?, ?, ?, ? works in Thunderbird with the Character Palate, but not in AppleWorks. (Can you see the lines (2 rows) above the vowels with macrons? Strange.
