Subject: Web design with Sun Java Studio Creator IDE
To: majordomo at erdos.math.louisville.edu

I thought some of you in the Macgroup would be interested in this
product sometime ago at $99; after dilly-dallying, dragging my feet
and worrying whether this or that, - long story short: it's now a free
download at http://developers.sun.com/.

The following is a course description of the Sun Java Studio Creator IDE.

"The Sun Java Studio Creator Overview course exposes students to the
features and capabilities of this new integrated development
environment (IDE). This easy-to-use, graphically-oriented IDE enables
corporate developers to create Web applications, focusing on quickly
designing user interfaces and developing business logic instead of
architecting complex infrastructure code. This course provides
students with an overview of the technical features and capabilities
of Sun Java Studio Creator, in addition to demonstrations that show
some of the capabilities that facilitate application development, such
as enabling page navigation, integrating database information, and
using Web services in Web applications."

If you sign up for this, you will also discover that Sun Microsystems
has free online tutorials to teach how to use this incredible software
development program or as they call it, an integrated development
environment (IDE). While this IDE is extremely complex and powerful,
the tutorials are bite-sized pieces that won't overwhelm you.
