I think I figured it out.  The buttons only work on unread e-mail.  Is 
that correct?  It seems like with aol I could click "previous" or "next" 
and it would give me the next e-mail, read or unread, but I'm not sure.

Regardless, even if it only works for new e-mail, it is helpful.
