The Avery Stomper is a system with special paper and a little gizmo (the stomper) that slaps those labels smoothly onto the CD. It's really not for high-volume work, since the stomper part is purely manual.
http://www.ecost.com/ecost/shop/detail.asp?DPNo=780347&adcampaign=email,ECOSTCNET You use their software to design the label, print it out onto the special paper (which works with your inkjet or laser printer), and then stomp the paper label onto the CD. Since the label is paper, it's not quite as professional looking as one of those gizmos that prints directly onto the CD, like the Primera: http://www.etronics.com/product.asp?stk_code=pri57100&svbname=403 There's also the Epson Stylus 900 that can print directly onto the CD, as long as it's an inkjet-compatible surface: http://www.etronics.com/product.asp?stk_code=pri57100&svbname=403 -----Original Message----- From: owner-macgroup at erdos.math.louisville.edu [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Marta Edie Sent: Monday, November 10, 2003 8:56 AM To: macgroup at erdos.math.louisville.edu Subject: Re: MacGroup: CD Labels - Need Advice Could you elaborate on the Stomper system? Is this only for lots of CDs or also for individuals, so the CD looks better than just labeled with a felt pen?
