I have also used the Avery version that does not need the 'stomper' and I like them just as well. They punch out and you use the jewel case to line them up the the CD. It saved having to buy the extra applicator (stomper). I don't know how many CDs you are planning on making, but I have labeled up to about 30 at a time and it was relatively painless.
Another tip, if you have Toast Titanium, it has a CD labeling software program bundled with it that has some cool designs to work with.
