au tools has been released.

http://au.gu.st/

This is a collection of tools written by Daniel Berenstein that allows
you to install QMail (a more secure version of SendMail) and enable DNS
caching on you Mac (10.2 required).

Please note: This will NOT enable you to start your own world wide spam
service from the kid's computer, nor bypass the need to use your ISP
supplied email address. To do that you would need a valid MX-Record
which is a whole 'nother level of tom-foolery. But you can send email
over the local area network to and from any Rendezvous enabled computer
(hence the need for Jaguar).

The DNS caching may be useful as it can speed up visits to sites that
you go to regularly.

                                        Jerry

p.s. You do not need X11 for this (grin)
