I have the 2400 Epson scanner ( a little less expensive than Anne's)
and it does the old black and white photos my cousin took and develped
himself in the late 20th and early thirties. The photos are just about
3x4 centimeters. They come out unbeliebly well on the scanner and
iPhoto. I am running OSX10.2.6. When I bought it, it said it would not
do the smart panel on MaOSX, but I have never found out what a smart
panel is. My scanner also does 35 milimeter slides and filmstrips.
