You may want to leave the /usr/local/bin files alone though, if you ever 
intend to use the commands found there from the terminal (usr/local/bin 
should be in your search path) so you can run the commands without  
cd'ing then /.'ing.

Also, which mess were you wanting to take home, the app bundle or the 
scattered files? It seems like the app bundle might be easiest, but 
something is nagging me a bit, as to why it did not come as a bundle, 
which would make it easier to work with.
