The whole thing is not that much of a deal, but then, you know me, I can't understand why it won't open as a pdf under the help user guide menu. I even open it from the library link you suggested in the application --- etc. I will not be home this afternoon, will labor in the fields again tonight or tomorrow. Thanks for all your dedication to ancient Marta's causes or stubbornness. - Mactown installed iWork when I got my new iBook, and I really haven't gotten around checking all the preferences . Marta
