Well, you might try the Preview option to see if it works for you, though I not a big fan of Preview.app. This problem may just be specific to Safari and the HP. I could not replicate your problem on Safari with any of my (4) Epson printers.
I very seldom print from the web?I thought the whole purpose for a computer was to eliminate those dreaded paper copies :) When I do, I use Print > save as a PDF, with Adobe Reader set as default for PDF? rather than Preview?in Get Info > Change All. I then open the saved PDF document in Reader, and select the "specific page(s)" I want to print, rather than printing the entire document from a site which may be 20+ pages long.
