Unless you have heavy use of RAM intensive applications, the 1.5G would get it done. Certain machines are pair sensitive, others no appreciable real world difference. More important than the additional 120G disk space would be "7200" RPM disk speed. The write time performance would be as noticeable as a RAM boost, however most 7200's max at 100G.
