Ann, I'm pretty sure any router will work with a Mac. You access the software through your web browser. I don't know specifics on setting up your particular router, but you need to know how you connect to Allitel, PPOE or DHCP, once you know that info, plug in your DSL box into the WAN input on the back of your router. Set up your network control panel to connect via airport. Then open your browser and type <http://192.168.1.1/> and return. That should open up your router's control panels. It will ask you for a username and password. Initially, no username is needed and the default password is admin.
you can get a pdf manual for your router from the linksys web site <http://www.linksys.com/> If you choose the help window within the routers control panels you can access the router's manual from there. I've probably left out a bunch of stuff. Perhaps other will fill in what I've omitted.
