Greetings,
In my attempt to switch from dial-up to dsl and wireless, I have only
managed to add to my frustration. I was told the reason why I never could
access my web browser was due to both the Westell modem and the Netgear
router sending different IPs to the computer, confusing it. So I called
Bellsouth, who helped me reset the modem so it could bridge to the wireless
router, and then called Netgear, who walked me through the IP settings.
Still could not access the web browser and was told that I needed to hook up
the Netgear router to a peecee to do something to the router (which in my
mind says it's not really mac-compatible, but...). Then the guy tells me my
browser settings are not set correctly. ARRR! I don't know what I'm doing
wrong, but they don't seem interested in trying to help a mac set-up...Any
insights out there for someone with only enough knowledge to be scary, but
not enough to set myself up :-( ?!
Cathy
