Marta:

To find out which version of Java you have, open your Terminal 
application and type in "java -version" (without the quote marks) and 
press Return.

When I do that, I get:

"Java(TM) 2 Runtime Environment, Standard Edition (build 1.4.2_05-141.4)
Java HotSpot(TM) Client VM (build 1.4.2-38, mixed mode)"

If you don't have the right version, you supposedly will get the 
message: "Segmentation Fault."
