Is the printer stand alone networkable? If the owner doesn't have or can't find the specs, where online could one find the specs on such a machine? FYI: The imagewriter was networkable. Had to install network card that contained a controller and memory. Some switches had to set inside the printer. If I recall correctly the card had both 10baseT and cable connections. eBay, local electronic recycler or those listed in the back of your favorite Mac mag the only possible supply. Yahoo wanted board maybe.
