Well there should be an ? character in the name Erd?s, but you did get
it correct, it is named after (or for -- I tend to get those mixed up
quite often) Paul Erd?s.
It may surprise you to know that he did teach at UofL for a short time
and came back to visit and do some lectures every now and then.

By the way, Lee left out what Ad Hominem means:

Definition:
The person presenting an argument is attacked instead of the argument
itself. This takes many forms. For example, the person's character,
nationality or religion may be attacked. Alternatively, it may be
pointed out that a person stands to gain from a favourable outcome. Or,
finally, a person may be attacked by association, or by the company he
keeps.
There are three major forms of Attacking the Person:

ad hominem (abusive): instead of attacking an assertion, the argument
attacks the person who made the assertion.
ad hominem (circumstantial): instead of attacking an assertion the
author points to the relationship between the person making the
assertion and the person's circumstances.
ad hominem (tu quoque): this form of attack on the person notes that a
person does not practise what he
preaches.

In some news today that might just make News of the Weird, Apple was
hit with a lawsuit (today!) by TigerDirect claiming they (Apple) are
infringing on TigerDirect's trademark by marketing 10.4 using the name
"Tiger". TD is seeking to immediately halt sales of "Tiger", etc., etc.
hearing will not happen for a while. TD sells pc stuff.

hmmmmmmmmm, smacks of Corporatism going as predicted.

Someday, I will come up with a clever signature line. I am not sure if
I will use it or not, but I will come up with one.
