I wrote no paper under his guidance. My Erd?s number is 3 via a few different paths. For example, Fred Galvin (University of Kansas) co-authored a half dozen or so papers with Erd?s. Galvin has written papers with Krzysztof Ciesielski (West Virginia University), and I've collaborated with Ciesielski many times. I did have several long conversations with Erd?s concerning problems on which I was working that were related to work he had done in the 1950s. I don't recall that any of his ideas and suggestions led anywhere, in those cases. -------------- next part -------------- A non-text attachment was scrubbed...
