Another plus for Google is that it'll be OS independent. I bounce back and 
forth between the big three OSes, so things like Google and Firefox tend 
to win as they're not tied to a particular platform.

Incidentally, this is why I would use Thunderbird over Mail on the Mac (if 
I used a mail program on the desktop). I can use Thunderbird on every 
machine and not just a subset.
