Oh, if only the flat panel iMac HAD an emergency wonderful tiny paperclip hole like everyone of the previous Macs we have had. I would be much happier. It doesn't. Do I need to take it to a service tech and have the thing dismantled to get the cd out? Is this yet another evidence of engineered full employment for techs? No offense to the technicians in this group. You are all absolutely wonderful. And your advice is wonderful. It just seems like this particular thing can/should be so unnecessary. Can I take the bottom off and do something without having to remove all its innards? (I have a ground strap wrist thing and screwdrivers) or will it blow up?
