Allen, I have a Geoport 28.8 (supports 33.6) that you can have. That's about as fast as you reliably get on telephone lines anyway. It's new, in the plastic, in the box. The ad copy says: "Full duplex 33.6k External Fax/Modem w/ incoming call pager, answering machine and touch dialing phone book." I've not hooked it up, having gone to dsl since I bought it.
(Does the group have an excess equipment repository? If so, I have a few contributions to make as I got a bit carried away during one of Shreve's house-cleanings.) Also, Shreve (shrevesystems.com) advertises a refurbed LaserWriter LS for $69. I can offer no testimony except that the stuff I've ordered from there has come as advertised. Pricing is unpredictable. If anyone has any more of those el-cheapo simms that are usable on a 7200, I'm in the hunt. Also, my post 7.5 but pre-X systems disks are vanished - gone with whoever absconded with my CD holder. If anyone has a copy they can part with of 9.1, I'm interested. I would go ahead and install 9.2 off of the Syst X disk but am sure I'd lose the ability to run Claris Cad - which still mostly works on 9.1.
