Since the Mac OS stands alone, I was wondering if a given operation requires more work to be done by Windows/DOS than the same operation done my Mac OS. Or, I could ask is a 500mhz Windows machine slower than a 500mhz Mac? If so, is the difference enough to be detected by a human?
