Jeff & Rob: I must have settings way off, or Bellsouth is just problematic when using airport express, but it wasn't like this initially. One thing I've noticed lately is that the signal isn't a full signal (as indicated by the icon up in the menu bar), but I haven't the faintest idea how to get it to a full signal. First I thought it was because I wasn't in the same room as the router & airport, but moving to the same room didn't change anything. A month ago this was not an issue, and I only noticed it recently when trying to download lessons/pdf files & such for frenchpodclass.com....Any ideas on how to troubleshoot this issue?

As to the home networking thing, plug in a router or Airport and follow the Apple directions. You don't need to spend $60 a year for tech support. But for a few dollars more than the 24.95 advertised price, you can move up to Iglou's full DSL service. Their newsgroup feeds suck, but everything else seems to be top quality. rob Jeff @ SLYN Systems wrote: Dear Cathy, I don't mean to disagree however I saw a big difference in 2004 when I went from dial up to DSL Lite when it came to downloading. Plus, the constant on-line connection was very convenient as well. What I would complain about with BS is their webmail site. Upgrading from DSL Lite to Ultra has made no difference in its latency nor affected how often it can go down temporarily. I got problems resolved with help from this listserve... And DSL light is barely a step above dial-up, as far as d/l time & such. Your airport base station should be enough; mine works fine, but isn't an extreme base station... Ciao for now! Would like any opinions on this. Is the $5/month extra worth it, for the customer support? Or will my Airport Extreme Base station work just as well? Thanks for any feedback!
