Cathy,
I?m pretty sure that if you are connecting your DSL modem through an
Airport, the strength of your wireless signal is dependent on the strength
of your Airport, not your DSL modem. Try unplugging the DSL modem from the
Airport and see if you still have a wireless signal showing up. You won?t be
able to connect to the internet but you should still have a signal showing
on your computer. I think... Anybody else with more expertise that can
confirm/deny this?
Of course, after you try this you will have to reboot and reconnect
everything.....
