Sorry to bother with such a mundane question, wouldn't you think I would know this....but.
I am trying to install Tiger on a computer that does not have a DVD disk, so I placed the computer next to one of my computers that has a DVD drive, hooked the two together with a firewire, started the DVD computer with the "T" key held down, and sure enough the disk appears on the computer that I want to do the installation. By double clicking the install icon I get a screen that tells me to restart that computer and installation will begin. When I restart it always comes back to the O.S. that is on the hard drive rather than the disk that is on the target computer. I have tried holding down the "C" key, that doesn't work, I tried holding down the "T" key on the second machine, that doesn't work. So, how do I get the older machine to boot from the Target computer so I can begin the installation. Thanks, possibly others will learn from this as well.
