Rob, I heartily applaud your post saying, "Just because something is older doesn't mean it's worthless." I'm still using Appleworks 6.0.4 because 1) I know how it works 2) it gives me macros with no nonsense and 3) it's remarkably stable, despite all those AW mavens who tell me it's outdated and crashes all the time. I'm even using an old version of the cheapy Color It! for graphics, because it does all I need. On the other hand, I read here almost every day about someone who has downloaded or installed the latest version of something and has nothing but grief.
