You probably need to go into the Quicktime preferences and click on "Transport Setup. . ." (under the "Connection" tab). Make sure that it is set to HTTP at port 80. I have seen a number of setups that default to UDP for some reason and they usually have the same problem you're describing. Hope this fixes it.
