I'm sorry. I don't know where my head is. Your right it is a video out
port and not USB.

I don't know how to test the port other than try your video connector in
another computer or another video connector in your computer.

Have you tried opening your display control panel in the system
preferences when you are connected to the TV?

Maybe that will give you some help.

I know that when I connect my ibook to a TV it just works!

If you are in Louisville, you are welcome to bring your video connector
and ibook to my house and we'll try all the above. Monday is fine but
tomorrow is not good.
