I usually use Safari but for some sites (those with secure pages that for some reason won't load in Safari) I use IE. While Safari is a little faster (on my dial up connection), it doesn't take forever. In fact I really don't notice the difference unless I'm checking which I just did: IE a count of 12 while Safari took a count of 7. Now there are some times of the day (or maybe it's my ISP, or some other reason) when I find the Internet REALLY S L O O OOO W.
I think if your daughter's problem is something other than the browser but I would have no idea what.
