Troy, In the past when I have had this happen I would hold down the option key and make a copy for placement in the folder I wanted, then I could throw the original program away. I have had two or three programs that install themselves on the desktop and can't be moved. When I would try to drag them to a folder on the hard drive it would just make an alias and keep the original on the desktop and the only way I could get around it was to do the above, then throw away the one on the desktop.
