Concerning a Sony viao laptop. Not really a mac issue but I would appreciate any help.
The teenage boy dropped (threw after losing Diablo II) it on the floor. It will not start. Can hear crunching noises coming from inside as it attempts start. Don't even get the POST beep. Screen never changes from pitch black. Never made an emergency startup disk. Never copied CMOS settings. Has anyone ever changed out the hard drive on one of these? Will the reinstall disks only work with a drive with Sony ROMs. Will the reinstall disks cover the CMOS setup utility? ===== War is really rough on your shoulder.
