Hello Belinda, I am a Mac technician, and according to Apple as of Sept 2001, your monitor is a mail in repair (Blue and white and Graphite monitors). And according to Apples service guide if the monitor is "popping or cracking" it needs service. Per the documentation you can call 1800 APL CARE, or the service provider could contact them on your behalf.
