Nelson, I cannot help you here, but have a related issue. Someone sent
me a pamphlet created in pages. My ibook which has pages, opens this
alright. However, my iMac, using Panther still , cannot open this
document. I can use Maclinkplus for opening all kinds of documents,
and it seems to me that Appleworks ought to be able to opens it in my
iMac, too, since after all, they are both Mac applications.
I can, however, when clicking "show contents" retrieve all the pictures
and other paraphernalia of this file, just not the whole manuscript.(
here 6 pages of text and graphics)
My question :
1. is there a way to open a pages document in any other application?
2. Maybe I should save it in a pdf and send it as an email that way?
3. Could I install pages into my iMac with Panther running? (How many
copies of pages is one allowed to install on different computers?
4. If I create a pages document and mail it to someone with a PC,
should I try to send it in a different format? ( I am just
experimenting with pages, so am a total infant.
