ack!
I doubt I'm cool by anyones standards. Trust me.
i've had a little more time to play with it (got the whole day
off...) and i must say i'm pretty impressed.

Battery life seems to be pretty good. much better than the 12"
Powerbook. Probably on par with with our iBook (it gets freakishly
good battery life for an iBook).

The screen is super bright. I have it at half brightness and it is
very comfortable. In daylight, you do get some reflections on the
screen, but they are not really noticeable, unless the screen is
mostly black. At least i'm able to use it outside and still see the
screen. that is an improvement over the last laptop.

The new ram really needs to get here soon.

PhotoBooth... I had to almost literally drag my fiance away from the
thing when she saw this. "Uh, honey, I understand that you are having
fun sending funny pictures to your friends, but... uh... could I
maybe take a look at the new computer that I just unpacked?.... No?
okay. I'll be in the other room when you're done.... just wake me
up...."

and I hope that I don't get a replacement 17" MBP. That means that
this machine works out just fine for me, which I'd be happy with.
Besides, I think this 13" is the sweet spot size wise. No way I'd
want to lug around a 17" laptop.

Rick
(and yes, it does get hot!)
