No, not really, sorry.  I haven't ventured beyond the 250GB mark yet.

I've stuck with the Porsche designed 250GB drives and have had  
practically
  no trouble from any of them relating to the drives themselves (3 FW  
& 1 USB).
That last one was a reconditioned USB unit from the LaCie online site  
for $80.
  Should be excellent to store my music on.     : )
