Thanks Nolan, but that wasn't really what i wanted, my clock is on 24 
hours and everything else is, too, except i could not get the iCal 
change to 24 hour time. When we got it figured out, that is, Bill 
finally got it from the Apple discussions and it is the craziest one of 
how to dos that ever was brought unto this planet. Maybe the guy 
designing it - i presume it was a guy, not a girl, must have been 
drunk, he had that option in the international panel up there where the 
short and long calendar items are located, and when you click on short, 
you will find hours and minutes and pm, but you have to click on hours, 
and then you get a pulldown menu and then you have to click on 00-24, 
and then you do nothing else, no confirm and nothing, but close , and 
when you then open iCal, the feat has been accomplished.
