Suzanne,

I take Mac Administration and MacAuthority from element k, they are
good, covering subjects that I often didn't know I need. The
"extension" has happened to me as well, when I call them concerning
this they then offered me a price MUCH lower than what was on the
invoice. MacAuthority is also much lower cost then the Administration.

The most recent Mac Administration covered the following:

Distribute client IP information without compromising your network.

Decipher file and directory attributes (Mac OS X)

Host shared volumes while keeping administrative overhead low.

Place Widgets under administrative control to ensure compliance with
internal policies

Increase your control over files and directories with Darwin.

Often this is way above me, sometimes not.

The MacAuthority is more within my understanding, the current issue
covers:

Improve your file organization and navigation with Spotlight

Let Spotlight protect your privacy

Easily organize your mailbox with the Mail Act-On plug in

iPod shuffle tips to keep the music playing.

Use Safari's new RSS feature to quickly scan websites

Save time by creating a default printer

Getting rid of the Crash Reporter

Quickly browse sites with MyYahoo!'s RSS parser

I have been racking my brain on the author of the original Lotus 123
text, a native of Louisville. He began these and many other
Journals, then Microsoft bought the business from him, now it is run
my a Division of Eli Research. As soon as I send this, I will
remember, almost have it, darn. I may have missed some in the
progression, it has been many years.
