I have an eMac whose screen goes blank a short time after booting.
I'm trying to connect a VGA monitor to it using its mini-VGA port and
Apple's mini-VGA adaptor (purchased at Mactown). Two older VGA
monitors with CRT tubes would not work with it. A newer flat-panel
did work (but the color was too harsh, almost neon).

I have not been able to find any information on Apple's web site
about requirements for external monitors to work with an eMac (or
even better, work optimally) with this configuration.

Anyone have any knowledge or advice in this area -- finding a VGA
monitor that would work (well) with the eMac's VGA port?

Thanks

Dan
